The Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Physics and Radiation Science at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) focuses on the application of physics principles and advanced scientific methods to address challenges in healthcare, medical technology, and radiation-related fields. The Medical Physics component encompasses applied research across a broad range of areas involving the use of physics in medicine and human health. Complementing this, Radiation Science emphasizes both theoretical and practical aspects of radiation, including radiation protection, safety, dosimetry, and the responsible use of radiation sources. The programme provides an interdisciplinary research environment that integrates physics, medicine, and radiation science to support the development of innovative solutions and advance knowledge in these fields.
